Custom website builds for coaches
Request a custom coaching website on any plan, including Free. We design, build and host it for $29/month, and you can buy out ownership of the site and domain later.
Some coaches want a proper website to point leads at: a home page, a bit about who they are, and a way to get in touch or sign up. You don't have to build it yourself. Our custom website build is a concierge service. You tell us what you need, we design and build it, and we host it for you. If you don't have any web presence yet, we can set up a basic one, and most builds centre on clean, well-designed landing pages.
Open to any plan, including Free. You don't need QuickCoach Pro to request a website build. Free-plan coaches can request one too. It's billed separately from your QuickCoach plan.
What it costs
The website build is $29 per month. That single fee covers the design, the build, hosting, and reasonable ongoing maintenance for as long as you subscribe. It bills separately from your QuickCoach plan, so a Free coach pays only the $29, and a Pro coach pays their Pro fee plus the $29. Prices are in USD, the same as the rest of QuickCoach billing. For where this sits next to the other add-ons, see the plans and pricing overview.
How do I request a build?
Email support@quickcoach.fit and tell us what you'd like. Because this is a managed service, you kick it off by email so our team knows to start. We'll confirm what's included, set up the $29/month subscription, and let you know what we need from you (your logo, any copy, photos, and the pages you want). We start once the request is confirmed in writing. (Cancelling later is easier on Pro, where you can switch it off yourself; see below.)
How long does it take?
Billing and work both start the moment you subscribe. The site isn't instant. It usually takes up to 1 to 2 weeks to prepare and create, depending on the scope and how quickly you get us your materials and feedback. The build kicks off with a short conversation so we understand what you do and what you actually need, and that first month's fee is what gets that conversation and the work going. Because the work starts straight away, you're billed from the start, before the site goes live.
Who owns the website while I subscribe?
While you subscribe, FitFocus IO PTY LTD (the company that runs QuickCoach) owns and hosts the website, including the code and design, and any domain name we register for it. The $29/month is a service fee, not a purchase. Paying it, for any length of time, does not by itself make the website or the domain yours. You have a licence to use the site as your own while your subscription is active.
If we register a domain for you, we cover that cost ourselves while you subscribe. It's a cost we absorb, not something we add on top of the $29. If you already own a domain and ask us to use it, that domain stays yours the whole time.
How do I get ownership of the website transferred to me?
You can ask to own the website outright at any time. Ownership doesn't transfer automatically, and it doesn't transfer just because you've paid for a while. Here's how it works:
- Email support@quickcoach.fit and say you'd like to take ownership of your website.
- We'll quote you the reasonable cost of the original build, minus the monthly fees you've already paid. In other words, you pay the difference between what the site reasonably cost to build and what you've already put in through your subscription.
- Once you pay that amount, we hand over the files and the site is yours.
A quick example. Say you request a build, pay $29 for one month, then cancel. If you then want to own the site, you pay the reasonable build cost we quote, less the $29 you've already paid. That difference buys you the website and its files. The domain is handled separately (see the next section), because the domain cost is one we absorbed while you were subscribed.
How do I transfer the domain to me?
If we registered a domain for you and you want it in your own name, email the same address and ask. You'll pay the costs of transferring it, which is any registrar transfer fee plus the remaining registration cost we've covered and not yet recouped. From the day the domain moves to you, you're responsible for renewing it and for all of its running costs.
What happens to hosting after a transfer?
Once the website or the domain is transferred to you, we stop hosting, maintaining, backing up, and supporting it. Hosting becomes your responsibility, and you arrange and pay for it yourself from that point. We can point you in the right direction, but the hosting is then yours to run.
How do I cancel?
How you cancel depends on your plan:
- On Pro, you can cancel it yourself, the same way you manage any other add-on. Open Manage Subscription, go to Add-ons, and deactivate the website build. It's covered in managing your add-ons.
- On Free, email support@quickcoach.fit, since this is a concierge service we manage for you. We'll action your cancellation within 24 hours.
Either way, the $29 stops at the end of your current paid month, we stop hosting the site, and it can go offline. Ownership stays with FitFocus. If you think you might want to keep the site or the domain, tell us before or when you cancel, because we're not obliged to keep a copy of a cancelled site forever. You can still buy out ownership afterwards by paying the transfer costs above.
Good to know: we won't hold your site hostage. If we ever stop offering the service, we'll give you notice and the chance to take ownership on the same reasonable terms, so you can move it elsewhere.
Where the full terms live
The detail behind all of this, including ownership, transfer costs, hosting, and cancellation, is set out in the Website Build Terms on the main site. Those terms form part of the QuickCoach Terms of Service. If anything here is unclear, email support@quickcoach.fit and a human will walk you through it.
